Aha Thakadu River Camp - Madikwe Game Reserve

Fantastic game drives, knowledgeable and friendly rangers, beautiful lodge in an ideal location, delicious meals. Cons: Oh, just the minor inconvenience of no Wi-Fi in some rooms and slow service during meals. But who needs internet and quick meals when you're surrounded by wildlife, right?

Game drives were fantastic with knowledgeable guide. Staff friendly and helpful. Tents spacious and comfortable with hot water. Balcony views of wildlife. Delicious food catered to dietary needs.

The location of the lodge, overlooking the river, offered stunning views of elephants and antelopes. the rooms were comfortable with a huge king bed, great linens, and pillows. the lodge provided plenty of hot water and heat at night for cold winter nights. the service was excellent, with maid service like a luxury hotel. the game drives were exciting, with sightings of elephants, rhinos, giraffes, and more.

The vegetarian options and taste of the food were subpar.

Had a fantastic Xmas holiday here. The accommodation was top-notch with luxurious amenities. The location was stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure our stay was memorable.

We stayed at the Aha Thakadu River Camp for a few nights on a safari trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and the management was involved in every detail. Our game drive was fantastic, with a knowledgeable and humorous guide. The location was excellent, and we enjoyed spotting monkeys from our balcony and impalas from the pool. The amenities were cozy, the food and wine were great, and we felt we got excellent value for money.

I had a fantastic stay at Thakadu River Camp. The location was amazing, with private tents nestled in the trees. The viewing deck offered fine river views, and we even got to see elephants up close. The staff at the main building were friendly and helpful, providing excellent dining service. The food was delicious, with a good variety prepared by talented chefs. The comfortable bed and clean linen made for a restful sleep. The best part was the game drives - I've never seen such a variety of wildlife in such a short time. Madikwe is definitely the place to go for an lovely safari experience. I highly recommend this lodge.

We got great value for our money, with beautiful and warm tents and an amazing location within a game reserve. The staff at the camp treated us like royalty, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Breakfast choices could be improved with more variety and options.

I keep coming back because the staff gave me great tips about places to go, and this place has free parking, AC, laundry, pool. I have no regrets and will be back soon!
